ARTIST BIO
A Visual Journey
The pictures shown here are from the last 2 years, and painted with a paint knife with occasionally thick impasto fumes in a more experimental and expressionistic expression, with inspiration from nature and forest in particular. I am concerned with nature's processes, everything that grows and the changes of the seasons. A special fascination for trees and forests as a theme is often recognizable in my paintings.
As a professional fine artist based in the south of Norway and member of The National Union for Artists in Norway, Swahn Art is always looking for the next opportunity to translate nature experiences into art. Since 2000, Grete Swahn has led a life fully devoted to the arts. Through a meticulous approach to the arts and love for nature, her paintings express a tranquility and lushness, with references to both reality and fiction.
